Top 10 things I just LOVED about Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas!

Hello Travel with Lisa Fans! I have an awesome blog for you this month! There are 3 slideshows for you to view below; The Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Mexico, The Sandals Grande St. Lucian, and Fiji! I have also just returned from a Pre-Inaugural Travel Agent Weekend aboard Royal Caribbean's newest and most amazing new ship, The Oasis of the Seas! I am planning to showcase the Oasis in slideshows next month, but I just had to write SOMETHING, as so many of you are asking "SO, HOW WAS THE OASIS???" I have decided to share my "Top 10 things that AMAZED ME on the Oasis!" Don't get me wrong, there were ENDLESS things that amazed me; The 7 Neighborhoods, the 37 stateroom categories, the 24 dining options, the opportunity Royal Caribbean gave to its Travel Partners to share in the excitement...and on and on. So, in no particular order, my top ten WOW moments aboard the Oasis of the Seas!

1. Looking up from Central Park and seeing people ziplining right above us!

2. Sitting outside in "Central Park" in the middle of the ship!

3. Vintages Wine Bar

4. The HUGE Fitness Center

5. 9 Hole Miniature Golf

6. My favorite hallway on the ship, filled with unique glass art!

7. Touch Screens on every floor, letting you know what you could be doing right now!

8. The beds in the Solarium!

9. Twin Rock Climbing Walls next to the spectacular Aqua Theatre Suites!

10. The special shout out Royal Caribbean gave to "Project Genesis" , the original name of the Oasis in its early planning stages...
We heard about this "project" on our cruise 4 years ago, and couldn't imagine a ship with 5,000 plus people...and yet, HERE SHE IS!

Fall is the perfect time for Disney!

Hello Travel with Lisa Fans! Halloween has come and gone, but it WILL be back again! That's a GOOD THING , because it means you can spend a fun, fall filled weekend in Disney, just like Tom and I did!

We stayed at the Boardwalk, which is perfect for all that we wanted to do!
The Boardwalk offers the perfect location within Disney World...it is within walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, has two beautiful pools (one quiet and one with a pool bar and activities in the afternoon), and the accomodations are top-notch! The ESPN Zone is also steps away for your World Series/Football viewing pleasure!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is another reason to visit Disney this time of year! The Magic Kingdom is decorated for Halloween, and is open from 4pm - Midnight for just party goers! You can quickly get on any ride, and trick or treat along the way! There is a parade at 8:30 and 10:15pm, and Halloween fireworks at Cinderella's Castle at 9:30.

At Epcot this time of year, the Food and Wine Festival is a top draw. The fact that it is a 5 minute walk from the Boardwalk means you can go again and again! There are the usual 12 countries in the World Showcase, and then these are layered with at least 20 other booths representing other destinations throughout the world. You can walk around, sampling authentic food, wine, desserts, beers and cocktails for a nominal charge. It is a fabulous way to spend a fall day!

There are many great times to visit Disney! I think this time of year can be a great choice if you love Halloween, warm weather, and sampling Food and Wine! It's the perfect long weekend!

Get ready to relish the Autumnal Exhibition of Colour!

Hello Travel with Lisa Fans! It's almost Labor Day, and there are still some things you need to do! Get some sand between your toes. Eat some ice cream. Catch a firefly. Get new (school)shoes. Start thinking about your next vacation! I do hope this finds you enjoying the last hurrah of summer... With the air still warm and the days still long, it's hard to imagine the smell of salty warm air, the hum of crickets, and the crunch of sweet corn giving way to sharp air, turning leaves and shiny apples and pumpkins in just a few short weeks. Like a fine wine pairing, I have the perfect vacation to go along with all of this! Now it is not until October 7th of 2010, (you can do it for the Fourth of July), but that gives you plenty of time to plan, save, and get excited! It's the Queen Mary 2 Fall Foliage cruise!

This is the IDEAL cruise for anyone who has never been cruising, for anyone who lives in the NYC area and doesn't like to or want the hassle of flying, and for anyone who has never really seen the spectacular colors of fall in the Northeast! It's 5 nights over Columbus Day weekend..perfect for a Girls Getaway, a Group Cruise, a Romantic Escape! Here is the itinerary....

Day Port Duration
1 New York Depart 6:00PM
2 At Sea Full Day Cruising
3 Halifax Arrive 8:00AM Depart 5:00PM
4 Boston Arrive 12:00PM Depart 11:00PM
5 At Sea Full Day Cruising
6 New York Arrive 7:00AM

What better way to spend a long weekend than with a five day getaway along the New England Coast aboard the QM2! There are just two dates, July 1st, or October 7th, 2010..Which one will YOU choose???

Life is short, TAKE A VACATION!
