Beaches Turks and Caicos has it all!
Beaches Turks & Caicos, with razzle-dazzle family suites, an expanded Pirates Island Waterpark and enhanced teen and tween hangouts, is pretty much a small “take me away” paradise all etched out on one of the Caribbean’s most gorgeous beaches, Grace Bay in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Traveling with little ones might be a lot of fun, but it’s certainly not easy-peasy. But if there’s one resort brand that knows how to make kids, tweens and teens (not to mention mom and dad, of course) happy, it’s Beaches...and its Turks & Caicos property is simply superb. Everything from the small details, like cookie trays placed in corners throughout the expansive resort, to the over-the-top uproarious weekly parades, not to mention the genuine warmth of the staff, make this
resort the perfect final destination to that time-honored question, “Are
we there yet?” You betcha!
Clients familiar with Beaches Turks & Caicos will know the Caribbean and French villages well, but with the addition of the Italian Village, the property has really outdone itself and hit its Luxury-Included philosophy perfectly. To start off, once you are escorted out of your airport transfers, guests will be whisked into the private Italian Village lobby, where they’ll sit down in some very comfy couches. The lobby has a specially outfitted area with kid-sized armchairs and a flat-screen TV that’s always tuned to cartoons, plus a cookie tray with generous amounts of this treat (don’t be surprised if the little ones make this one of their favorite hangouts!). Once checked-in (without ever standing in line, mind you), it’s off to the family suites. En-route, happy guests pass along the Italian Village’s
opulent pool, which at over 10,000 sq. ft. is a behemoth. With the sea breeze caressing your face and the music emitting from the “hidden” speakers, it’s easy to fall into the Caribbean vibe (of course, the rum punch drinks that are handed out to the “big kids” upon arrival don’t hurt either).
The multi-category family suites (all 162 of them) are a delightful blend of comfort, luxury, contemporary earth tone decor and privacy...a wall sliding door divides the kids’ room from the parent’s room. The kids will relish their privacy, as well: the kids’ room comes with bunkbeds (with an extra trundle), a plasma TV, Xbox 360 Game console, closet space, and a size appropriate sink. Past the sliding door, the separate master bedroom comes complete with a sitting area, plasma TV, mini-fridge, lots of drawer and closet space and one of the most comfortable mahogany four-poster king-size beds out there! Additionally, the bathrooms come with a double-vanity sink, a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower and a private toilet area. All suites have a terrace, with some looking out onto the pool area and others straight onto the mesmerizing turquoise-colored beach. Either way, it’s a nice place to sit after arriving and take in one’s surroundings. Meanwhile, the look in the kids’ eyes while checking out their new pad can’t be beat.
Says Beaches Resorts’ CEO, Adam Stewart, “Getting away together
is precious time. It’s got to be right. From toddlers to teens, parents to
grandparents, there was not a single detail in our blueprints that did not
take each traveler’s needs into account.” With that in mind, it comes
as no surprise that guests also have the option of requesting one of
the Village’s 18 Imperial rooms, which expand the 2-bedroom suite
to include separate living room and dining room areas, with additional
sleeping options to accommodate larger groups and family gatherings.
All Imperial rooms, by the way, have an extra treat—Beaches Resorts’
Butler Service.
But as much as the new family suites are heavenly, the resort’s array
of activities, dining options, kids’ camps and delightful surprises are just
too tempting to while away the day in the room. A full-on exploration of
the resort awaits…. I have embedded 2 slideshows from clients who went to Beaches last month...see for yourself!
